Promoting Inclusive and Sustainable Development Together

Across Africa, women and marginalized communities remain excluded from the decisions and opportunities that shape their lives slowing inclusive and sustainable development

We work across Liberia to empower marginalized communities, particularly women and youth. We implement evidence-based programs to strengthen livelihoods, promote gender equality, build climate resilience, and enhance participation in governance. Through research, advocacy, and capacity-building, we ensure communities have the tools and voice to shape their own development.

Our Approach

SARA works directly with communities across Liberia, targeting women, youth, and marginalized groups to ensure inclusive development. We reach beneficiaries through participatory programs, on-the-ground field activities, and community engagement platforms. Our interventions involve: Direct Beneficiaries: Individuals and groups participating in training, livelihood programs, advocacy, or climate-smart initiatives. Respondents: Community members contributing to research, surveys, and assessments, whose insights guide evidence-based programs. Communities: Broader populations benefiting indirectly through improved services, policies, and community-led development initiatives. By combining research, field implementation, and policy engagement, SARA ensures our programs are responsive, inclusive, and sustainable—bridging the gap between community needs and actionable solutions.
